“The Cowboy” James Storm is an “Original” that has been with the organization since its inception. Storm considers himself the IMPACT WRESTLING Beer Drinking Champion. He’s an effective brawler that can match any wrestling style. As part of one of the most dominant tag teams in IMPACT WRESTLING history, Beer Money, he has managed to capture the World Tag Team Championship eleven times with his former partner Bobby Roode.
After his partner was refused a rematch for the World Heavyweight Title at Bound for Glory due to a stipulation, Storm was granted a match where he successfully gained his first World Heavyweight Title from Kurt Angle. This did not sit well with Bobby Roode apparently and when given the opportunity for a title match he used unfair methods to gain the World Title from James Storm. This situation has torn apart Beer Money and only time will tell what will happen with these two former best friends.
As an amateur wrestler in high school, he won a state title. Storm’s abilities are not limited to in the ring, prior to joining IMPACT WRESTLING; he received an athletic scholarship to play college basketball.
