“The Cowboy” James Storm is an “original” that has been with TNA since its inception.
Storm considers himself the IMPACT WRESTLING Beer Drinking Champion, which explains why he’s such an effective brawler. As part of Beer Money, Inc., the most dominant tag team in IMPACT WRESTLING history, he managed to capture the TNA World Tag Team Championship 11 times alongside former partner Bobby Roode.
At Bound for Glory 2011, Storm was granted a title match where he earned his first TNA World Heavyweight Championship from Kurt Angle. His newfound solo success did not sit well with Bobby Roode, who turned his back on the “Cowboy” in order to steal the championship. After losing the title and his friend, Storm took time away from the IMPACT Zone but has since returned with a vengeance.
At Bound for Glory 2012, Storm beat Bobby Roode in a Street Fight, with MMA Superstar King Mo acting as special enforcer. This all-out brawl ended in blood shed and broken glass.
As an amateur wrestler in high school, he won a state title. Storm’s abilities are not limited to in ring. Prior to joining IMPACT WRESTLING, he received an athletic scholarship to play college basketball.
