IMPACT COVERAGE: Update On Kurt Angle - Torn MCL, unable to compete at Sunday's Lockdown


FRIDAY UPDATE: TNA Wrestling officials have been informed that Kurt Angle has a torn MCL in his knee as a result of the attack by Ethan Carter on Thursday on IMPACT. Angle is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair his MCL today (Friday). As a result of this unfortunate injury, Kurt Angle will be unable to compete at Sunday's Lockdown Pay-Per-View event against EC3. Stay tuned to for more updates on Kurt Angle.


UPDATE ON KURT ANGLE: On Thursday's IMPACT, just days before their Steel Cage match at Lockdown, a confrontation between Ethan Carter III and Kurt Angle turned physical and has possibly put Sunday's match in jeopardy. During the attack, EC3 viciously targeted and further injured Angle's knee - even claiming he "Heard it Pop" during the fight. Kurt was immediately taken from IMPACT to a local hospital, where tests were ongoing. TNA medical staff that initially examined Angle backstage fear he may have tore his MCL, ACL or a combination of both ligaments. will have an update on Kurt's condition as soon as it is made available on Friday morning

With just days to go until Sunday's Lockdown, TNA's biggest stars waged war on Impact in order to gain momentum heading into the biggest battle in the company's history.  With Team Dixie and Team MVP fighting for the advantage in their fight for control, EC3 waging war on Kurt Angle, Samuel Shaw getting some unwelcome attention of his own, and more, it was a night of final showdowns before the doors are sealed at Lockdown.

- Bobby Roode, Austin Aries, and The Bro-Mans vs. MVP and The Wolves was stopped and ordered to restart following a steel chair attack on Davey Richards by Austin Aries.  Richards was given one hour to return and face Bobby Roode to determine the advanage at Lethal Lockdown. 
- Samuel Shaw and Eric Young ended in a double countout
- Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne, and O.D.B. defeated Lei'd Tapa, The Alpha Female, and Gail Kim
- Bobby Roode defeated Davey Richards to earn the advantage for Team Dixie at Lethal Lockdown
- Lockdown Challenger Samoa Joe and World Champion Magnus came face-to-face and a brawl ensued.  Joe locked in a rear naked choke and forced the Champion to tap out.
