A FIRST LOOK INTO THE PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL LIFE OF TNA’S LEADING LADY
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Nov. 22, 2013) --- Against the backdrop of TNA’s biggest Pay-Per-View event of the year, Bound For Glory, prominent Sports Illustrated MMA writer, Loretta Hunt, sat down for an in-depth interview with TNA President Dixie Carter to get an inside look at what drives professional wrestling’s leading lady. The result is a revealing feature, “Welcome to Dixieland,” launched yesterday on SI.com.

"When people think of who I am, they usually think about who I come across as on TV, not the mother and businesswoman,” says TNA President Dixie Carter. “I am excited readers have an opportunity to get an in-depth look at not only how TNA was built from the ground up, but also a look at the bright future ahead. In the process they will also gain insight into the real Dixie Carter."
Stepping into the boots of a hard-working mother of two, who is running a company in a testosterone-driven industry, is no simple task. Whether behind her desk, in the wrestling ring or at home with her family, Carter understands the value of working hard, a lesson learned from an early age as she witnessed her father’s entrepreneurial spirit.
"What initially drew me to Dixie Carter was the fact that she's a lone female promoter in a mostly-male-dominated sports entertainment industry,” said Hunt. “Once I started exploring the pro wrestling community, I was even more intrigued by the depth of Dixie's personal story and her deep connection to TNA and its talent. I hope my story will shed light on the fascinating world that is pro wrestling."
With Carter running the show, for more than a decade TNA has provided, and will continue to offer, wrestling fans around the world unmatched high-flying, hard-hitting action with a roster featuring some of the most prominent names in the industry, including the “The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy, “The Icon” Sting and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle. Carter’s go-getter, never quit attitude and unparalleled drive is what has helped land top TNA talent and a contract with SPIKE TV, where IMPACT WRESTLING airs each Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET.
Against numerous odds and with many doubters, the optimistic Carter continues to challenge the status quo. The new #IMPACT365 cross-platform programming initiative, “Where Action Never Ends,” provides fans, for the first-time ever, 24/7 access to TNA Superstars and special content via broadcast, social media and digital channels.
