Finishing Move: The Flying Elbow Drop
An aerial artist of the X Division, Jay Lethal debuted with TNA in 2005. His unique personality and unorthodox antics have led him to be one of the most popular and entertaining athletes in TNA. He calls New Jersey home and signed with TNA at only 20 years old to become one of the youngest and fastest emerging stars within the company. His high flying, risk-taking persona has raised the bar of TNA’s standards and helped make the X Division what it is known today. One of Lethal's greatest moments happened in 2007 when he pulled off one of the biggest upset victories in TNA history, defeating Kurt Angle for the X Division Championship. As mesmerizing as Lethal’s career, 2010 would prove to be one of his best years yet. Lethal dropped his “Black Machismo” persona in favor of impersonating one of the all time greats, “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. While some say imitation is the greatest form of flattery, Flair did not see it that way. Their rivalry lead to one of the most memorable moments in TNA Impact history when the two got into a heated war of words, with Lethal doing his caricature of Ric Flair.
