Eric Bischoff Blasts Triple H & Vince McMahon's Trump Announcement, More

Triple H
- Eric Bischoff recently made a blog entry on his official website with his thoughts on RAW this week, below are the highlights:

* Triple H’s entrance is weak, old and so tired I went to go floss my teeth when it started. He looks like a Lhasa Apso genetic experiment gone bad. Get him some new music for Gods sake, and a hair-cut. One word describes HHH’s character: dated.

* The VKM announcement of the new GM tease was weak at best…is it me or are Vince’s ears gaining size on his head? The VKM revelation that he “sold RAW” was lame. When you start out a story line with a premise that is completely unbelievable, should it be a surprise that the audiences gags on it? Trump isn’t good in this role and is too forced. My guess is that Trump will bring in Ric to handle day-to-day duties on his behalf, and at least give fans something to get excited about for a while.

* The main event just bored me. 3 ways, 4 ways, 10 ways are just cheap ways to camouflage the lack of story and issues between the performers. I am the first one to defend writers/producers who are challenged to come up with fresh ideas for the same pool of talent week after week, but there is a consistent pattern in WWE story telling that just leaves me feeling flat.

i find it interesting where bischoff comes from here... he sits back pretending that he knows exactly how to run a wrestling business... he didnt exactly have a great run of fresh, new ideas himself when he ran wcw... same old, same old was the norm in wcw under his watch... his ideas were more lame and unbelievable than any current WWE idea... what we have here is the jealous pot calling the kettle black...

if bischoff really wants to prove to us that he knows anything other than driving wcw into the ground, he should go down to tna and contribute to their creative... give them the great idea and fresh characters they need... dont be the armchair quarterback... put your money where your mouth is tough guy...

Well said...Bischoff managed to bankrupt a promotion with a seemingly limitless bankroll, that is a damn impressive accomplishment. He did do a few things well though; by "borrowing" the NWO angle from Japan he temporarily put WCW on top and permanently doomed WCW to failure at the same time, also quite impressive. Paul Heyman was a failure as a businessman but had quite a creative mind for wrestling, Bischoff was just a failure at both.

well its easier to see the problems for the outside... Bischoff has some good points.  There is a lack of good creative writing on RAW.  despite his perceived failures his opinion shouldn't be devalued by any means.

I actually agree more with Edge on this one.  Sure, Bischoff has had his moments (good and bad), but let's look at the message rather than who the messenger is.

Triple H's character is old, tired, and outdated, and so is that music.  OMG, how long has he had the same "Time to Play the Game" music?  I mean, when he's not coming out to Evolution's music, the "King of Kings" music, or DX's music?  Ask any ten people in the internet wrestling community what they think of Triple H and at least eight of them will have the exact same opinion as Eric Bischoff.

The Donald Trump storyline is already being classified as a complete and total bomb.  Just because it's Donald Trump doesn't mean the storyline is going to succeed. (See example: hair vs. hair at Wrestlemania 23) The only saving grace at this point would be if Trump quickly realized just how in over his head he really is as "owner" of Raw, and appoints a GM/Commissioner/President of Operations, most preferably Ric Flair.  And if not Ric Flair, maybe Steve Austin.  I'm not asking for Stunners every week, I'd just like to see what it would be like to see Steve and Donald kicking back and downing a couple beers.  I'd pay $50 to see that!
