I know this may be an unpopular view, but based on the reports on what happened, i think the fans got what they deserved. Did Chris go overboard, yea sure...but the fans have no business banging on his car or going after him in anyway to provoke him...Yell,boo curse all u want but remember its a show and keep that in mind when you think its ok to physically harass them......See what can happen? You can get your ass kicked.

I agree with you. Jericho wasn't in character.....at that point in time he was a civilian just like you and me. The fan, no matter if it was a guy or girl, should've have done that to Jericho.

Let me see if I've got this right. She rushes up from behind him and either grabs, pushes, or jostles Jericho in order to provoke a response, and SHE'S the VICTIM?? What planet are these people from? It was stupid for Jericho to get out of the SUV. But provoked people confronted with a mob scene (and from what I could see on the video clips here it was a mob of people who were deliberately trying to provoke a response from Jericho) do stupid things. So now they're crying "I'm a victim" because they got the response they were seeking? I don't condone what I KNOW Jericho did (get out of the SUV) or what he accused of doing (hitting and or spitting). But if you deliberatly put yourself in harm's way, you forfeit your "victim" status.

Glad to hear that the fans got arrested. WWE superstars do have to act as best as they can but this was not like it was a fan asking for an autograph at a fan event or anything involving Chris Jericho the performer. This was a stupid heckling incident that the fan took too far by one approaching his car and blocking the way. "You're a disgrace to Canadians" said by one of the fans was something that fans can say if they pay for a ticket but again this wasn't said while Jericho was in the ring or anything...it was said to him after his car was surrounded and mobbed in the parking lot. Also, wow what a creative thing to say by the fan!
From what I read, Jericho tried to restrain himself at first and after the first part of the scuffle, he tried to back away and when he turned to leave, he got pushed in the back and such and it was the fans around him that were continuing the violence even though he did go on a puching frenzy. At this point, like many of the other fans have said....it is self-defense. He has a duty to shake hands with the fans at events and giving autographs if you will, but when surrounded and physically and verbally attacked outside of the ring, he has the right to do what he can to PROTECT himself.
I would like to know why the hell the arena security took so long to step in. Why also did they seemingly only try to "restrain" Jericho and not all parties involved? I feel so bad for Chris....
I hope the fans get brought to proper justice.

I'm glad those moronic @$$holes got arrested, too. I've been to a few live WWE events before, and looking at the fans is like watching an episode of that "Redneck Wedding" show. Most of these people look like they never even made it out of grade school, and their actions just prove it. It's a scripted TV show, yet these people are too stupid to tell reality from acting. The way they antagonized and provoked Jericho, they deserved every punch, slap, and shove that they received. GO JERICHO, GO!!
